Morning Session

  • Welcome by Maroš Servátka, moderator of the workshop
  • Official opening of the workshop by Rudolf Sivák, Rector of University of Economics in Bratislava
  • Introduction to classroom experiments and EconPort
  • Homegrown demand and supply (hand-run M&M auction)
  • Discussion of how the results from this experiment relate to induced costs and values.
  • Competitive market experiment
  • Presentation of results and how to interpret the data from the market.
  • Using pre-set experiments on EconPort.

Lunch Break (on site catering)

Afternoon Session

  • Price Control experiment in a double auction market
  • Tax Incidence experiment in a double auction market
  • Posted offer market experiment
  • Monopoly with posted offer
  • Participants to practice setting up their own experiments. Participants form small groups to practice setting up and conducting their own experiments.

Morning Session

  • Any leftovers from Day 1
  • Public goods
  • Dominant Strategy normal form game (prisoners dilemma)
  • Normal form game with multiple equilibria (coordination). Included in discussion will be applications to macroeconomics.

Lunch Break (on site catering)

Afternoon Session

  • Duopoly
  • More practice time
  • Online community discussion.  Introduce participants to the forum software and how they will be able to share ideas and configurations with us and others online.
  • Official closing of the workshop by Rudolf Sivák, Rector of University of Economics in Bratislava
